A Dutch studio designs a new elevator to treat to reduce the electrical consumption

An elevator that uses the force of the user to go up and go down. It is the proposal of the Dutch studio Rombout Frieling Lab to reduce the electrical consumption that usually suppose these devices. The Vertical Walking, that means vertical walk in English and is as it calls the invention, works by means of a system of pulleys and springs that allow to the occupant push, with movements hand and foot, the chair in which it is seated. According to his creators, this elevator requires only 10% of the energy that a person would use to go up on foot a tract of equivalent stairs.
